Stop #2 - Neverwinter City, Sword Coast, Faerun
Location Information
True to his word to a couple of his employees, the Ringmaster settles the circus wagon train-- and it remains wagons with those same bad-tempered horselike animals-- in the outskirts of a large city by the coast, and it's much warmer than their last stop! A warmth seems to radiate from the city itself, earning it its name, Neverwinter.
Welcome to the world of Faerun, where magic abounds and the human race, while the majority species in and around Neverwinter, are hardly the only intelligent people around. The city has a sizeable population of elves, half-elves, halflings, dwarves, gnomes, even a handful of tieflings, goblins, and half-orcs. No one in the circus is going to stand out here, not even Karlach (perhaps to Karlach's dismay!).
The city itself is modern by medieval standards: they have an actual sewer system, the wealthy and the nobility (not always the same people) and some inns have proper plumbing and running water, and food is plentiful, brought in from the outlying farmland and traded with the nearby cities of Port Llast and Helm's Hold. There is a bustling middle class and many shops selling items both magical and mundane, churches to many different gods, and lots of people looking to see a good show.
Magic is highly encouraged to be part of everyone's show, for this stop, and missions might be a bit more involved than at the last stop...
Our current location is brought to you by Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Neverwinter Nights I and II because your mod was in love with those game for a long time.
A handy-dandy map of the surrounding area and the city. Keep in mind this is very basic (it was from the first game which had a very limited game engine) and the city is definitely bigger and more complex than this! But it should provide a nice guideline to work with :)

(also if anything from Nita's app/anything from her old Permissions posts would stick out powers-wise, lemme know.)

Re: QUESTIONS
(It'll still be a chance for people to get a bit more of her history, and for me to play around with the "no, really, it's scary" aspects of her predicament. :D )
New Character
This may or may not be Ilphyl's Neverwinter (look, they traveled with a wild magic sorcerer who had already transported herself a few decades to the path in a flare; whose to say that it couldn't happen again), so they may be looking for a gig to see the multiverse and get back to where (when?) they are supposed to be.
Ilphyl is a druid, so has healing, shapeshifting and general nature shit covered. I look forward to plotting with everyone.
Re: New Character
I'll make sure to plurk with a link to my toplevel once things are that far along; it'll be interesting doing another first-meeting thread. ^^
